Gurpreet Singh
Chief Executive Officer

Gurpreet has over 20 years of broad cross-functional leadership experience in the technology industry in roles ranging from strategic business planning and management, business development, product development, management and marketing.

Gurpreet was the first Product Manager on board at Pure Storage as the company went from near zero revenue to more than $500 million in annual revenues during the three and half years that he was there. During his time there, he built out the product management and technical marketing functions at Pure Storage and was responsible for overall Product Strategy, Roadmap and Core Positioning, Strategic Business Planning, Business Models and GTM Programs amongst other things.

Prior to that he has served in various capacities at companies like Riverbed, Brocade, Microsoft and Cisco amongst others.

Gurpreet holds a MBA from Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and an MSEE from UCLA.

VR Satish
Founder and Chief Technical Officer

VR Satish is the Chief Technology Officer at Pavilion Data Systems and brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise storage software products. Prior to joining Pavilion Data, he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Artiman Ventures. Satish was an early employee of Veritas and later served as the Vice President and the Chief Technology Officer for the Information & Availability Group at Symantec Corporation prior to joining Artiman. His current areas of interest include distributed computing, information-centric storage architectures and virtualization. Satish holds multiple patents in storage management, and earned his Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Florida.

Sundar Kanthadai
Founder and Vice President of Engineering

Sundar is the Co-founder of Pavilion Data Systems and brings more than 15 years of enterprise data center and software development expertise to the company. Prior to Pavilion Data, he was a founding engineer and Director of Engineering at SeaMicro (AMD) where he led the software development of the industry leading converged appliance products SM10000 and SM15000. Prior to SeaMicro, he held key engineering positions at successful startups Aruba Wireless Networks & ONI Systems.

Farzad Haghighi
Vice President of Global Customer Support

Farzad is Vice President of Global Customer Support, with over 20 years of leadership experience across Enterprise, Government and IT Managed Services accounts worldwide. He is responsible for the vision, strategy, implementation and execution of Pavilion Data Customer Experience and Support. Farzad comes to Pavilion Data from Vexata, where he was the VP of Support & Services. Prior to that he held several senior positions at Virident (acquired by Western Digital), Rainfinity (acquired by DellEMC), Persist Technologies (acquired by HPE) and BEA Systems (IPO 1997). Farzad holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from San Jose State University.

Ajay Patel
Vice President of Operations

Ajay is Vice President of Operations with 20+ years of leadership experience in delivering global operational excellence.  He is responsible for setting strategy and executing both the manufacturing (Planning, Supply Chain Management, Operations Engineering, Order Management and Logistics) and business functions (HR, Finance, IT, Facilities). Previously Ajay was Vice President of Operations at Springpath Inc. which was acquired by Cisco Systems.  Prior to that he held senior leadership positions at AMD, Nimble Storage (acquired by HPE), Omneon Video (acquired by Harmonic Inc).  Ajay holds an M.S. in Engineering Management and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Andy Vandeveld
Vice President of Channels and Business Development

Andy has over 20 years of experience in sales and business development. He joins Pavilion after having served in VP level sales and business development executive roles at Commvault, Veeam, Citrix, Brocade and Juniper. In these roles, Andy created and executed high impact alternate channel and technology partnerships with companies such as HPE, Dell/EMC, Cisco, NetApp, IBM, and VAR channel partners. He also spent six years at IBM following IBM's acquisition of Informix Software in 2001. Andy holds a BA from San Diego State University and a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law.

Walter Hinton
Head of Corporate and Product Marketing

Walt is responsible for Corporate and Product Marketing.  He brings a deep technical background along with proven success in building marketing teams and programs.  Over a 25-year career in data storage, Walt has helped build successful startups like McDATA, ManagedStorage International and Virident Systems. He also served as Chief Strategist at StorageTek where he was instrumental in the creation of the Storage Network Industry Association (SNIA).  Most recently, Walt was Sr. Global Director of Product Marketing at Western Digital.
